Bicycles

What is accepted:

Bicycles must be properly packed by the owner. A strong cardboard box is considered as the suitable packing for a bicycle. This box will protect both the bike and the baggage of the other passengers. Tires must be flat. Handlebars must be turned lengthwise in order to make the baggage less bulky and easier to load. Also pedals must be removed. (All outstretched parts must be removed)

Charges: Bicycles will be treated as part of the passengers' baggage and no excess will be charged if within the normal baggage allowance.


Ski Equipments (Snow and Water)

Ski equipment must be properly packed by the owner. Booking in advance is required.

Snow Ski equipment is defined as::

  • One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, one pair of boots or
  • One snow board, one pair of boots

Water Ski equipment is defined as::

  • One pair of standard water skis or
  • One slalom water ski

Charges: Ski equipment will be treated as part of the passengers' baggage and no excess will be charged if within the normal baggage allowance.


Golf Equipment

Golf equipment must be properly packed by the owner. If this is not the case, attach a Limited Release Tag, Affix a Fragile sticker. Do not load on baggage belt at check-in.

Piece Concept: If one golf equipment is in excess of the free allowance, the charge is 50 % of the applicable tariff. For any additional weight or additional golf equipment, apply the normal procedures.

Charges: Golf equipment is defined as a golf bag containing a set of clubs and a pair of golf shoes. Weight Concept: one set of golf equipment exceeding the free allowance, weighing not more than 15 kgs: charge maximum 6kgs only. For any additional golf bag(s), apply the normal procedures.


Surfboard, Windsurfing Equipments, Kayaks

What is accepted:

NOVOAIR will accept wind surfer boards and kayaks as baggage provided that they are less than 3 meters (10 feet) in length and the mast/sail is detachable and collapsible. Passengers wishing to take wind surfer boards or kayaks of greater length must be referred to cargo department. Surfing equipment and kayaks must be properly packed by the owner.

Reservations:

Reservation must be made in advance. The request shall be entered in the PNR with SSR code SPEO plus description and dimensions.

Example:

  • SSR SPEQ SURFBOARD 280cm x 75cm x 15cm
  • SSR SPEQ KAYAK 280cm x 50cm x 15cm

Charges: No extra charges, provided the surfer boards are within the entitled baggage allowance. If this is not the case, normal excess rates apply.


Scuba Equipment

Diving equipment normally consists of: suit, vest, socks, mask, shoes, torch, webs, knife, oxygen cylinder and a regulator. Diving cylinders must be empty (meter must show zero). Must be properly packed. Do not load on the baggage belt at check-in. Normal procedures for excess apply.


Fishing Equipment

Fishing equipment normally consists of: two rods, one reel, one landing net, one pair of fishing boots and one fishing tackle box.
